Probably a stupid question but...?

I have to write a report on an experiment I did where I titrated a known concentration of hydrochloric acid against sodium hydroxide to find the concentration of sodium hydroxide used. One of the questions in the discussion part is ‘What factors have been controlled in the experiment?’ What does this mean? I didn’t realize anything wasn’t controlled in the experiment. Examples would be appreciated. Thanks!
