Well, if you put antiseptic cream or lotion, it should be alright. If there's pus, then something is wrong. Just make sure it's not wrapped too tight. Allow your wound to air as well. Constant bandage well make the skin sweat, causing bacteria to gather. You should also rinse the wound with water when you bathe or something, just to keep it clean.
