Wheezing cough for past couple of months?

I have had a cough for the past couple of months and some wheezing sometimes when I breathe. Yes I do smoke I am 25 yrs old it started when I got a cold and lasted for a month this cough and wheezing than it went away then I got another cold and now it has stayed and will not go. I have no pain in my chest when I cough doesn't hurt at all just more of a nuissance that's why I don't think bronchitis but wasn't sure if it can be but still don't have pain. Ty for any answers and please no criticizing on the smoking I already know but I figured id throw all the facts in there.
