Generally how long does it take to get a guinea pig tamed and in a schedule?

i have had mine for about 4 weeks now, and they are still a little unsure of whats going on and me in the cage. coca is used to be but sometimes a little unsure of whats going on and millie my long haired black on is really not used to be she skids when i try and touch her. how long does it take?
