How do land a kickflip on a skateboard?

Ok, I can ollie, shuvit, pop shuvit, sometimes ollie over stuff, boneless and powerslide, but I've been trying and trying and trying for six monthes about and I still can't land a stupid kickflip. Sometimes I can land them upside down, but that rarely happens because it flips too fast so can't land upside down. There are so many different foot placements for this trick and I don't know which one will work for me. Usually, when I try the kickflip it will spin backside or go behind me or infront of me, especially in front of me. Sometimes if I'm lucky, I'll land with my back foot. idk what's going on with my way of doing the trick. PLEASE GIVE UR GREATEST ANSWER CAUSE I WANT TO LAND THESE EVERY SINGLE TIME I TRY SO I CAN LEARN THE VARIAL FLIP AND 360 FLIP!
