Do colleges consider your PSAT scores?

The summer break has just started and nearly all of my friends are goofing off even though we have a PSAT test next year, which happens to be our Sopre year. All of my friends say that the Sopre PSAT does not matter for the admission process. So, I just want to make sure, does it count?
